Napoli – Salernitana, pre partita Inzaghi: domani voglio vedere la mia Salernitana che lotta

“Domani voglio continuare a vedere la mia Salernitana che lotta e combatte dall’inizio alla fine. Nelle ultime partite avremmo meritato molti punti in più e le prestazioni offerte devono darci carica e autostima. I ragazzi stanno bene fisicamente ed è bello allenarli. Servirà la partita perfetta perché affrontiamo una squadra formata da grandi campioni che l’anno scorso ha vinto lo scudetto. Dobbiamo fare una grande gara a prescindere da chi giochi, è un derby e vorremmo regalare una bella partita ai nostri tifosi”. Queste le parole del tecnico granata Filippo Inzaghi intervenuto in conferenza stampa alla vigilia di Napoli – Salernitana.

“Sappiamo della situazione di emergenza a centrocampo e in questi ultimi giorni abbiamo provato diverse soluzioni. Non so ancora come giocheremo, in base agli interpreti che sceglierò vedremo la soluzione tattica da adottare. In porta rientrerà Ochoa che si è allenato tutta la settimana con la squadra. Ho fatto i complimenti a Costil che ha fatto molto bene in questo periodo e contro la Juventus ha meritato continuità perché Ochoa era rientrato solo da due giorni a lavorare con il gruppo. Simy si è meritato la titolarità con il lavoro quotidiano ma credo molto anche in Ikwuemesi che so che può darci tanto. Deciderò domani chi partirà dall’inizio ma qualsiasi scelta farò mi sento al sicuro”.

In settimana ho avuto una bella chiacchierata con il Presidente, l’Amministratore Delegato e il Direttore da cui ne sono uscito rafforzato e rinfrancato. Sul mercato il Direttore è bravissimo e sa cosa serve, io penso ad allenare chi ho a disposizione e a farli rendere al meglio. In questi mesi abbiamo fatto buonissime cose ritrovando lo spirito che ci deve contraddistinguere da qui in avanti. Ci è voluto un po’ di tempo per trovare la mia Salernitana ma con il tempo siamo migliorati fisicamente e abbiamo ritrovato compattezza e stimoli nel gruppo.

“Dopo il Milan e la Juve ero triste per i punti raccolti ma non per le prestazioni dei ragazzi che ci devono dare fiducia per il prosieguo. Dalla prossima settimana torneremo a giocare una partita contro un avversario del nostro livello ma abbiamo già dimostrato che se siamo tosti possiamo giocarcela con chiunque. Candreva e Fazio sono da esempio per i più giovani ma nell’ultimo periodo tutta la vecchia guardia ha svoltato e ha permesso ai giovani di capire come si lavora e che possiamo farcela”.

Il mister ha quindi concluso: “Vedere il Direttore e sentire le sue parole ha dato grande carica alla squadra e sono d’accordo con lui quando dice che ci salveremo. Dobbiamo dare il massimo, voglio vedere lotta, garra e la leggerezza mentale che ci ha permesso di fare grandi partite contro avversari tecnicamente superiori. Mi fa piacere raggiungere le trecento panchine in carriera nei campionati, rappresentano un traguardo importante e festeggiarle in uno stadio prestigioso in un derby mi riempie d’orgoglio. Proveremo a regalare una soddisfazione ai nostri tifosi”.

The Director is excellent in the transfer market and knows what is needed. I focus on coaching the players I have available and making them perform at their best. In these months, we’ve done very good things, rediscovering the spirit that should distinguish us from now on. It took a bit of time to find my Salernitana, but over time, we’ve improved physically and regained compactness and motivation in the group.

“After Milan and Juve, I was sad about the points collected, but not for the performances of the boys who must give us confidence for the future. From next week, we’ll return to playing against an opponent of our level, but we’ve already shown that if we’re tough, we can compete with anyone. Candreva and Fazio are examples for the younger ones, but in the last period, the entire old guard has turned things around and allowed the young players to understand how to work and that we can make it.”

I’m pleased to reach the milestone of 300 coaching appearances in my career in championships; it represents an important achievement, and celebrating it in a prestigious stadium in a derby fills me with pride.
